Notice that I did not title this article, “EDC for Teenagers” because the reality of today is that some eleven- and twelve-year-olds individuals are trustworthy and responsible which I believe should be rewarded. I want to further recommend that before you give any of your children EDC supplies, you take into account the laws and regulations within your area. I’m going to give you the basics and you need to be the responsible parent and decide what your children are ready to have.
Many children attend public and private schools which have their own individual laws and codes, and you will need to get a copy of them to ensure that your child doesn’t carry on their grounds. However, if you are a homeschool parent then just act accordingly but not disrespectfully of the law.
What does EDC mean? EDC stands for Every Day Carry and these are items you will carry on yourself every day to school or work. This is not the same as your bug out bags or 72-hour bag, as that bag will be far too heavy to lug around on your person for day-to-day use. These items will partially take up space in your bag, some items will take up space in your pockets and a few might end up on your wrist or keychain, organize accordingly.
