Planting Toxic Plants?

I’m doing yet another short and sweet post because you don’t have time to waste reading too much and I’ve got my own homestead to take care of. Whether you live in the city or the countryside, you need to do a deep dive on the plants around your property to ensure that your children won’t get sick or end up at the hospital for ingesting something dangerous.

I would highly recommend that you go into your app store and select two plant identification apps and download those onto your phone. Once you have these downloaded, start walking around your environment and see what your app identifies. The reason you want to download two of these, is so that you can cross check them and ensure that you are able to identify what exactly is growing in your vicinity.

If you have time, I’d like to suggest you check out a video for the poison garden in London, as it’s very informative and interesting.

Here are just some of the possible plants that you might find around your property that have toxic parts that you should be aware of before trusting your children or animals around them. Please do your research before purchasing any plant, just because the label might not warn of toxicity, doesn’t mean that it’s safe. Some plants are toxic to children, some are toxic for dogs and some are toxic for livestock so get your pen and paper, then go get to work researching your plants.
