Rediscover Important Skills

Not to sound old, but back in the 80’s we had classes like home economics, child development, shop and some even had auto mechanics classes. Today, most grown adults don’t know how to cook food from scratch and children believe that vegetables just miraculously show up at the grocery store.

While many skills have been lost over time or just never learned, we thankfully have access to thousands of books and even can find videos online to teach us these skills again. Depending on where you are financially, you can either borrow books for free from the library, purchase used off of ebay or brand new from Amazon. You can find hundreds of free videos on places like youtube.com or bitchute.com that cover a variety of subjects.

I’ve done my best to compile a list of skills below and while some believe that each member of your household should have at least one of these skills, I’ve found that I’m trying to teach all of my children a little bit of everything. Keep in mind that when training up kids, their age has a big impact on how they can serve the family during difficult times and I’m blessed with three teenagers who are upwardly mobile.
