Homestead Supply Recommendations

When looking at this list, please be aware that my family have different allergies and sensitivities that your family will not have. Do keep in mind that our family is made up of one wife, one husband and three special needs children so our needs will differ there as well. Feel free to email me with any questions you have about products and I’ll answer them to the best of my ability. This is just the beginning of the list because there’s really so many things but the top three things people need to start getting in order is their gardening supplies, pantry foods and specialized B.O.B’s for children.

* Notice: There are affiliate links on this website where a tiny portion of your purchase will be given to me. Your purchase allows me to be a SAHM while helping your family out too.

Gardening

  • Keter Self Watering Planter: These have actually become my preferred gardening planter for salad-type plants like lettuces, kales, french carrots, radishes, etc.
  • Hydrofarm Tomato Barrel: I’ll plant one single tomato and one or two small companion plants.
  • Hydrofarm Tomato Self Watering Planter: I’ll plant one tomato, two smaller pepper plants and two smaller companion plants.
  • Fiskars Garden Shovel: Strong handle that’s lasted against wear and tear
  • Garden Bed Cover Cloth: Survived without any rips or tears
  • Mini Greenhouse: Survived without any rips or tears
  • Plant Labels: These were long lasting and survived the suns rays
  • Seed Envelopes: Whenever I’ve used up 3/4 of a regular seed package, I transition the small remaining amount over to one of these and seal it up until next season. I never throw away last seasons seeds because you never know, I just keep using until they’re gone.
  • Fiskars Pruning Shears: Wonderful handle that doesn’t hurt your hands when making cuts.
