Dehydrating Mushrooms

Today’s homesteading task was dehydrating 3# of sliced white button mushrooms for my hurricane supplies. Mushrooms can be rehydrated in soups, stews and to make a lovely Salisbury steak over rice. I’ve got 8 trays going and plan on storing these away in some lovely half gallon jars that I’ve got in my pantry. To dry mushrooms quickly and easily, purchase already sliced mushrooms, give them a nice rinse off, spin out the water and lay them down on trays. Make sure you read your instructional manual to find out the proper temperature to set them at.

Happy Homesteading!! 💓
